• Price does not include airfare to and from Querétaro (QRO). Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements to ensure arrival and departure to and from the airport on designated days. We are available to consult while guests make these arrangements.
• We recommend all tourists consider purchasing their own travel and health insurance and consult with their medical professional regarding any recommended vaccinations and health precautions. -

• ALTITUDE ~ San Miguel de Allende: 6,234 ft
• WEATHER ~ Because of its higher altitude, weather and temperatures are moderate year round. Typical daytime temperatures are in the upper 70s and nighttime temperatures around 50f. October and November are traditionally very dry.
• ACCOMMODATIONS ~ We stay at Casa Carly, a wonderfully located charming boutique hotel with an authentic San Miguel feel. Each suite is unique and opens up to an extensive courtyard that makes for a great meeting point and wonderful evening happy hours.
• PHYSICAL EXERTION ~ Moderate Exertion (2 out of 5) This tour consists of mostly in- town, moderately paced walking on hilly cobblestone streets. Guests with step-tracking devices often find they walk more than 10,000 steps on most days.

This SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE tour’s arrival day adjoins the departure day for our QUERÉTARO tour (24-10-20-MX-QRO, dates October 20 - 27, 2024), making it easy to combine the two tours. If you join both tours, you receive an extra night of accommodations in Querétaro at no additional cost. The rate for the two tours together is: $4,200 double occ (single occ + $1,500)
General Tour Outline
MONDAY:
Travel/Arrival day – the only scheduled event this day is our welcome dinner.
TUESDAY – SUNDAY:
Are full days including the following:
Art-focused stops including the art complex Fabrica La Aurora, the showroom of world renowned folk art collectors Mayer Shacter & Susan Page, and many other art galleries and local artist studios.
Cultural stops, including visits to the Jardin, the Paroquia de San Miguel, local markets, Casa de Cultura
Exploration of local Day of the Dead traditions, including a participatory visit to a local cemetery and viewings of ofrendas throughout town.
Choice to participate in or watch the Dia de los Muertos parade.
A trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Atotonilco where we will visit the charming church.
Day trip to the town of Dolores Hidalgo, known for it ceramics, including an alfresco lunch and a visit to the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.

Travel/Departure day, no official tour events are scheduled for this day
